‘The walls we build around us to keep sadness out also keep out the joy’ –Jim Rohn

Many of the people Marion works with are functioning well on the surface, yet privately struggle with feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed by past experiences. Avoiding difficult emotions may offer temporary relief, but in the long run, it can keep us trapped in distress. Through her compassionate and attuned approach, Marion supports clients in processing these emotions safely, allowing them to move forward with greater resilience, confidence, and wellbeing.

Specialties

Marion works with adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including:

  • Childhood and relational trauma

  • PTSD and complex PTSD

  • Dissociation

  • Depression

  • Anxiety, panic attacks, and OCD

  • Grief and loss, and

  • Chronic pain and long-term health conditions.

A personal journey that led to a career in Psychology

Marion’s path to becoming a psychologist was shaped by her own lived experience. In her early 20s, she underwent life-changing neurosurgery that resolved a medical condition but left her to deal with the emotional challenges of recovery on her own. While medical treatment had addressed the physical aspect, she found that traditional approaches offered little support for the psychological toll of such an experience.

Seeking alternative ways to heal, Marion explored mindfulness, psychotherapy, and somatic-based practices—modalities that played a pivotal role in her recovery. This deeply personal journey ignited her passion for psychology, leading her to pursue advanced training in evidence-based therapies that go beyond traditional talk therapy to facilitate real, embodied change.

Marion’s approach

Marion takes an integrative and experiential approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs. She draws on:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) – a powerful therapy that helps resolve distressing memories and reduce symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression;

  • Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) – a transformative, emotion-focused approach that helps clients process overwhelming emotions in a safe, supportive environment, fostering resilience and self-discovery;

  • Core Self Reclamation Therapy (CSRT) – a specialised therapy that helps clients heal deep-seated attachment wounds and reconnect with their authentic selves; and

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Approaches – practical, evidence-based tools for building emotional resilience and managing day-to-day stressors.

A commitment to growth and transformation

Marion’s dedication to her work extends beyond her clinical practice. She continues to train with leading experts in the field, refining her skills and deepening her knowledge to ensure that her clients receive the most effective, research-backed care available. Having personally engaged in these therapy modalities, she understands their power from the inside out and feels privileged to guide others on their journey toward healing and transformation.
