Core Self Reclamation Therapy (CSRT)
Developed by Dr SueAnne Piliero, Core Self Reclamation Therapy (CSRT) is a new model of psychotherapy devoted to undoing the structure of the Wounded Self so that the Core Self can be reclaimed.
The approach is based upon the fundamental belief that the deepest source of human suffering is caused not by traumatic experience itself, nor the feeling of aloneness in that experience, but rather by the self-destructive meanings we give to ourselves and the world around us because of what happened.
Healing is based on the premise that while we can never undo the bad things that happened to us, we can undo the traumatic meanings we made about ourselves and the world by empowering the present-day self to reclaim the Core Self to do the healing work for the wounded parts that took on the trauma induced meanings in childhood.
Marion has been learning from the developer of this model, Dr Piliero since 2020, and has attended her introductory and advanced trainings as well as clinical consultation. She regularly integrates CSRT in her clinical work.
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) was developed by Diana Fosha and focuses on healing and transformation by helping clients process emotions associated with trauma and other emotional challenges within safety and security of the therapeutic relationship. AEDP believes that everyone has an innate capacity for healing and transformation, and that by accessing and processing previously avoided emotions, we can break free from old patterns that have kept us stuck and experience and make use of the healing resources and vitality that inherently resides within us. Marion has advanced training (Level 3) in AEDP.
Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR Therapy is a highly effective, integrative therapeutic approach that can be used to address a wide range of problems, including PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Chronic Pain, Addictions and other distressing life experiences. It has been shown to effectively decrease or eliminate traumatic symptoms and reduce the length of treatment.
EMDR helps resolve symptoms by reprocessing disturbing memories, thoughts and feelings so they no longer affect your wellbeing.
Marion completed her first EMDR training in 2006 and returned to it in 2017 and has since undertaken several advanced trainings, including Structural Dissociation, EMDR Masterclass and Grief and Loss training, all with Dr Roger Solomon. She became an Accredited EMDR Practitioner in 2022 and she is currently working towards becoming an EMDR Consultant.
